Let’s go to the beach
Fancy a dip in the ocean with family or friends without the hassle of cars? Let’s cycle to the beach! Whether you want a light workout on our classic bicycles or a sweat-free breeze on our high-end electric bikes, this is the ultimate summer experience.
The Experience
We meet at Largo da Severa, in the heart of Lisbon. From there, we follow a pleasantly flat path along the Tagus River toward Belém. The best part? The entire day’s ride is on flat ground, making it perfect for all fitness levels.
The Itinerary
-
Crossing the Tagus: In Belém, we board the ferry to Trafaria. Grab the binoculars we provide to enjoy unique, postcard-perfect views of the Monument to the Discoveries and Belém Tower from the water.
-
Trafaria & Local Vibes: Our first stop is this charming riverside town with traditional cafés and a marina bobbing with colorful fishing boats.
-
The "Cova do Vapor" Break: We visit the quaint village of Cova do Vapor for its famous doughnut and the legendary local drink "Cai Bem" (a refreshing mix of cherry liqueur, soda, and lemon).
-
Caparica Coast: Surrounded by greenery, we reach the Costa da Caparica beaches. We know the secret spots with fewer crowds and plenty of space for us to relax.
-
Sun, Swim & Fun: Time to dive into the Atlantic! For lunch, we can have a picnic under the leafy shade of pine trees in the Urban Garden or eat at a local beach bar.
-
The Golden Hour: On our way back, we’ll stop for a cool beer or a soft drink in Trafaria before catching the ferry back to Lisbon.
