Walking tour from the cruise port

The Experience

Discover the medieval area of Alfama, the oldest part of the city, located just a few minutes away. Learn about its history and the stories of its residents as you walk through the narrow alleys and streets of Alfama.

From the Portas do Sol panoramic viewpoint, contemplate Alfama from above, as well as the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, the National Pantheon, and, of course, your cruise ship. The next stop will be the Cathedral, one of the city's medieval monuments.

The tour continues through Baixa (Downtown), rebuilt after the great earthquake of 1755, and ends in the historic center, specifically at Rossio Square (Praça D. Pedro IV). Here you can take the metro back to the ship or continue visiting the city following the guide's recommendations. If you wish to be taken back to the pier, our guide will be at your disposal.
