St. George’s Castle Guided Tour

The Experience

Our adventure begins at the red telephone booth in front of the castle ticket office. From there, we will set off to discover the imposing defensive walls, with a mandatory stop at the privileged viewpoint over the city and at the Praça de Armas.

We will continue our visit towards the ruins of the Alcáçova Palace and the museum collection. We will then head towards the fortress, exploring its many corners and receiving information about other areas located here, such as the archaeological site.

Throughout the visit, our guide will also share privileged information about the history and legends of the castle, revealing its strategic role in the context of the transformations of the city of Lisbon over the centuries.
